Dhuleti Festival 2017

Information on the Powder colour bought from GCS on the day: Safety The powder is made from 99% corn starch and only 1% natural colours are used. It is skin friendly and bio degradable so no environmental issues to be concerned about. Tear open the sachet and you’re ready to powder. Although the powders are safe and non-toxic we do not recommend throwing directly in to eyes or mouth. Bleached or non-natural hair may hold the colour so may be best to pop some head gear on. A pair of cool funk shades will help keep most of the dust out your eyes and a dust mask is recommended. Remember have fun and play safe. ‘The powder is in your hands…. Whoosh!!’ Clothing & Body: Jump up and down, shake yourself, pat your clothes to remove most of the powder. You could even hoover yourself if you carry one round with you! Don’t wear your best designer clothes when intending to use these powders as they may discolour lighter items of clothing. Bleached or damaged hair could absorb some colour. Grass and Concrete: A light covering will wash away with the next rain shower but if there are heavier deposits then a hose and stiff brush will help to disperse the remains. Ingredients: The contents are 99% corn starch and the remainder is made of colorants. The powders are tested and confirmed as free from heavy metals. Many other Holi Powders will not match this parameter. The powders are tested and approved in the UK by SGS. The test reports show the ingredients meet the EU cosmetic regulation. User Instructions: Not for use by children under 3 years of age. Not for use by children who are under 14 and not in company of an adult! Easy to open sachet. Just tear open. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. If irritation occurs flush with plenty of water. Do not eat! Skin friendly. Plant friendly. Environmentally friendly. Powder could will leave stains on lighter clothing. Wear items you don’t have to worry about. Can be mixed with water. Use outside or in well ventilated areas. Not for use indoors. Have fun! Clothing: A bit of common sense required here, do not wear your Sunday best! Although generally the powders wash out there is a high risk of them tinting lighter items of clothing. The risk will increase if your clothing gets wet prior, during or after powder application. Plain white t shirts are ideal as you can pick them up cheap enough plus they show off the paint powder. BY USING THESE POWDERS, YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE ABOVE AND THEY ARE USED AT YOUR OWN RISK. PARTYGLOW LTD WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY THESE POWDERS. WE ARE HAPPY TO SEND SAFETY CERTIFICATES IF REQUIRED

Kew Gardens Trip 2016 in Pictures

Basically Day started at 7.20am after everyone greeted in the car park at Withdean Stadium. Brighton and Hove coaches picked us up and we set off the drive to Cobham services. Had a coffee or tea, had Comfort break and set off to Kew Gardens! It rained but by the time we got there it just stopped. Then after distribution of entry tickets we sat on the Kew Explorer which took us around the Royal Botanical Gardens on 45 minute ride. Then we got off and visited the Hive, Princess of Wales conservatory, Pagoda, Treetop walk and palaces. We explored the plants and trees, ate a grand picnic, and had afternoon teas and coffees before setting off for the Swaminarayan Temple in Kenton. After doing Darshan we ate our lovely Gujarati feast at Pradips in Kenton, Middlesex. On the coach journey home Gopal took over the PA and gave information about future events and the guests were looking forward to them after the success of Kew Gardens trip. Finally Gopal gave a rendition of a few songs from newer and older Bollywood films which everyone seemed to enjoy! Happy Day with a great crowd!
Musculoskeletal Event hosted by Right Track

Right Track are running an event in October. The event is aimed at connecting people in Brighton and Hove especially from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities who have musculoskeletal conditions (such as back or hip pain, osteoporosis or arthritis) with support in the local community and voluntary sector that can help improve their wellbeing. It will take place in Brighton on Tuesday 11th of October at The Black and Minority Ethnic Community Partnership Centre (BMECP). It’s hosted by Right Track, a collaboration of community and voluntary sector organisations, on behalf of local NHS service provider, Sussex MSK Partnership Central. The event will give people with these conditions, and their carers, the opportunity to: * Meet others facing similar challenges and share their experiences * Get specialist advice on how they can manage their condition * Find out about free or low cost support, activities and groups near them * Barriers to communities managing their own health better. * What’s currently out there? What helps you now? * What resources have we got? What additional resources do we need? * How do we take this work forward? * What solutions could you offer?
